MEET YOUR AUCTIONEER

René True

René True is a licensed Kentucky principal auctioneer for over 35 years. Throughout
his career, he has successfully conducted numerous real and personal property
auctions. More recently, he turned his auction focus to helping non-profits and charitable organizations raise funds through live auctions. René has conducted the annual Relay for Life fundraiser auction for Beam Suntory for over six years and served as auctioneer for several Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinners. He organized and performed a live art auction to support CASA of the Bluegrass, before switching to conducting the live auction for the group’s CASA Derby Eve Gala. Over the past five years, René conducted the live auction of rare and collectible whiskeys donated to the Bourbonanza event, now part of the Bourbon on the Banks Festival for 2021. René understands that charitable fundraisers are all about “fun” raising and making sure guests enjoy the event. He is masterful at the auction adlib and keeping audiences engaged for live auction bidding. René is a founding member of the Frankfort Bourbon Society, chaired the Downtown Frankfort, Inc. Bourbon Strategies Committee for five years, and is an Executive Bourbon Steward with the Stave & Thief Society.
